Housing plans lodged with council

Barratt North Scotland has lodged an application for full planning permission for the erection of 121 houses and associated infrastructure and landscaping south of Park Place, Newtonhill (the site identified as Site OP1 in the Aberdeenshire Local Development Plan).

Meanwhile in Portlethen, a planning application has been lodged for full planning permission for change of use of Unit 12-13 at The Green from Class 2 (Financial, Professional and Other Services) to Class 10 (Non-Residential Institution) Childcare Business.     Seems like a ridiculous overdevelopment of the moor and a potential huge loss of amenity and wildlife habitat.
    Just a glance at the Aberdeen Solicitors Property Journal will show you how many houses and flats are already on the market in this area.
    I strongly ask you to oppose this.

      Thank you for your comments, which I note. However I may not express an opinion about a live planning application before I am in the council chamber with all the relevant information. If I were to comment at this stage I would have to withdraw from the process (or land in trouble!).
