Cemetery road to be retarred

The access road to Portlethen Cemetery will be closed on Wednesday and Thursday next week (2-3 February) to enable tarring to be undertaken.

Council officers apologise “in advance for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience and understanding.”

I have been urging officers for quite a long time now to have this access tarred. Not only is it used by people going to the cemetery, but by churchgoers, folk going to the church hall, and walkers accessing the woodland park.

    Thank you Ian
Nobody has listened for a long time, some holes had a bit grit thrown on them over the years but nothing exceptionally worth while. Unless the hearse was good at avoiding it could be a good “goodbye shoogle”

Some of the potholes have had temporary repairs in recent years, but what really was required was a longer-term fix. And that’s what is happening.
