A reminder that roadworks are planned for the A92 at Portlethen.
The works from 14 – 23 July are to replace the deteriorated road surface on the main carriageway and crossover. This includes night-time working.
Here are the details from Bear Scotland, who carry out the work on behalf of the Scottish Government.
From Tuesday 14 July at 19:30 to Thursday 23 July at 06:30 there will be a convoy system with 10mph speed restriction in place starting at just after the Portlethen on-slip until just after Durris junction. The convoy system will be in operation between 19:30 and 06:30.
Additionally, from Tuesday 14 July at 19:30 until Monday 20 July at 06:30 Lane 1 of the A92 southbound will be closed. The lane closure will have to remain in place this is due to the nature of the works of installing a deep binder patch in Lane 1 and to avoid any damage and in particular rutting to the newly-laid binder surface.
Bruntland Road junction will have to remain closed for the duration for the works. There will be a signed diversion plan in place for motorists wishing to use the junction and a temporary bus stop located at the end of the works.
Traffic wishing to enter Bruntland Road junction from A92 southbound may do so from Monday 20 July at 06:30.
Please see attached maps for diversion routes.
