Wind turbine produces power

The floating wind turbine nine miles off Newtonhill has started producing power.
The Mearns Leader and the Press and Journal reported that the wind farm was originally expected to cost £250 million when announced in 2016 but will now cost closer to £500 million.
The remaining five turbines will be installed over the next two years.
The company’s managing director is quoted in the P&J as saying the lessons learned from the project will allow them to create the next generation of floating projects globally, in deeper waters and further from shore.
