Owing to Network Rail works to carry out emergency repairs to a railway masonry wall, it is necessary in the interests of public safety to close the U61K road from the railway bridge to Mains of Findon, Portlethen.

Repairs began yesterday. No work will take place at the weekend and the road will reopen. However work will recommence on Monday 11 January closing the road for five further days.

Site notices indicate the temporary restriction to traffic and the alternative route via U61K Mains of Findon – A90 underpass – Cookston Road – Thistle Drive and vice versa.
